Printable beach volleyball match scoresheet template

By the VolleyLeku team · Updated on

The scoresheet is what settles any argument about a match. Here is a blank template ready to print on A4, designed for beach volleyball tournaments and leagues (and also valid for indoor), what each field should contain and how to avoid filling it in by hand if you organize a league.

Blank template

Press the button to print only the scoresheet (in the print dialog you can also save it as a PDF). It is a template for local tournaments and leagues, for clubs or amateurs. In beach volleyball, each pair only needs two player rows and the first three set columns (a match is usually best of three: 21, 21 and 15).

What each field should contain

Match details

Competition, matchday or phase, date, time and court. It seems obvious, but a scoresheet without a date or court is hard to use when, weeks later, you have to check who played and where.

Teams and players

The name of each team and the list of players with their numbers. If you play indoor, mark the libero; in beach volleyball there are only two players per pair. Also write down who the captain is and, if there is one, the coach. It is the proof of who played, especially in leagues with line-up rules or a minimum number of players.

Set-by-set result

Write down the final points of each set and the total sets of each team. If your competition plays a single set, fill in only the first column; in beach volleyball the usual is best of three (21, 21 and 15), so the first three are enough. Check the scores before signing: a mistake here is the origin of almost all complaints.

Officials and duration

The name of the first and second referee and of the scorer. The duration helps you adjust the schedule of the following rounds and spot matches that run long.

Sanctions and remarks

Record who was sanctioned, with what type of sanction, in which set and for what reason. In remarks, note everything that does not fit in another field: delays, injuries, incidents or a team's protest. If you write it down at the moment, it does not depend on anyone's memory.

Signatures

The usual is for the captains of both teams, the scorer and the first referee to sign at the end of the match. With the signatures, the scoresheet is considered accepted. Take a photo or photocopy before handing it in.

Tips so the scoresheet is never a problem

This template is for local tournaments and leagues. If you compete in a federation league, always use your federation's official scoresheet.

How VolleyLeku solves it

Filling in a scoresheet by hand for every match of a league is repetitive: the teams, the players and the matchday are always the same. In VolleyLeku leagues you can generate each match's scoresheet as a PDF, with the teams, line-ups and result already filled in, ready to sign and print. It includes set-by-set result, duration, officials, sanctions, remarks and signatures.
